Those of you taking gap years what are you upward to?
Picayune off topic, but what have you been doing to keep yourself occupied while y'all wait for interview invites to coming in? Do you all prep for interviews during your spare fourth dimension, work every bit much as you tin to pay off all the fees, etc? Currently, I'm debating between working a consulting desk job or getting clinical feel every bit a CNA.

Sounds like yous accept everything planned out, I recall y'all'll really like scribing. If its ED yous'll run across a plethora of cases and you'll have plenty to talk near during interviews.

Currently getting clinical feel every bit a CNA and tutoring on the side. I have not had any Ii yet (3.85, 514, top 10 school) then i'1000 hella worried, but I'yard trying to be patient and stay calm so I've also been hit the gym and doing lots of fun stuff with friends who are also available to keep my mind off of information technology.

How exercise you like being CNA so far? I'm applying to several CNA courses and they're anywhere from free to $1000, which is a little pricey. Don't stress at all you'll def get in with those stats haha, I've also been getting back into gym but at present that secondaries are mostly out of the way I have Way likewise much free time.

Inquiry assistant in biomed inquiry at a superlative 10 med schoolhouse. It's a corking job in terms of hours and workload but I don't really wanna do this for likewise long. Haven't heard back from any schools notwithstanding but I was complete early September and so I'm non too worried still. Too been volunteering at the academy hospital a ton and taking a couple classes to heave gpa.

Currently in the second of top gap years. First one I tutored and did research full fourth dimension. Just recently started a position at a new science/engineering science identify and it's pretty sweet so far. Pays a lot improve so nice that I tin finally pay off all my credit card debt

Was your CNA position for a well known company? I'm trying to find places where I tin can get gratuitous preparation. That would be very valuable clinical experience and definitely useful as a medical student. It's good that you're balancing out everything, haha I don't thing I could study for the MCAT once again all ability to you! Aye, mental health is an important thing!

Howdy! I'1000 taking a gap yr and I'one thousand currently in my last year as an undergrad. I scribe in the ED, participate in psychology inquiry, and work a 2nd job every bit a waitress. I'm taking 18 credits this semester including a cool undergrad histology course which is dandy but definitely making me sweat. Only took my MCAT today. Life is stressful....simply I'm enjoying it equally I tin can.

Haha wow I couldn't imagine being able to residual all that, you lot'll be well set up for med school! How does the waitress job pay? I was thinking of doing that cause I heard the pay/tips are good. Exercise you lot have any places you would recommend working at?
